SILVERSTONE GP 25/8/19

We are back from Silverstone where last year we couldn’t race due to the rain which affected the track conditions. We get back to UK and once again the rumors about the future of the riders plays a main role.
I’ve just been told that on Moto4 race had almost the same share of audience as MotoGP and this is such good news for me. I keep telling that Moto3 races are so exciting, fought till the last corner, breathtaking and I am proud that our riders were among the protagonists during the British GP.
Although we had the same old “misadventures” in qualifying (this time no penalties, though) Antonelli gained the 5th position on the grid and Suzuki the 11th. Not a bad results being aware that on Silverstone track it is easy to make a good comeback. Race finished with Niccolò 4th and Tatsu 5th fighting till the last corner with the leading group. It was a tough race which kept me on the edge till the end. I should be satisfied; Antonelli showed the improvements made in handling the fight and Tatsu is back on track after two difficult races. He behaved as a professional rider avoiding to make any hazardous overtake on his team mate even though he might have had a chance for the podium. It is important to bare in mind that Nico is still fighting for the Championship and Tatsu did just that.
I should be satisfied but we still miss that eagerness, that “thing” which makes you “bite” your rivals when you fight for the victory, and allows you to take a blind risk without thinking to the consequences. This is what marks the difference between a rider and a champion. As long as we miss this eager and crazy will to win we will keep doing good races and getting close to the podium but… we will never get it.
