Welcome to the launch of the 2022 racing season!
These latest years, which have been defined by uncertainties and social distance, made us realize the importance of being close to people. For this reason, now more than ever, we are so happy to hug you again, here at Misano World Circuit, to launch a new season, that we hope to be full of emotions and satisfactions.
All the riders have a first time and Marco’s one on a real track was just here, in this circuit, back in 2001. His first time on “a circuit for grown-up people and big motorcycles”.
He was a child, it was an exciting debut, maybe the only time when he could race carefree.
We came out negatively touched by a bitter season, that started with a novice Fellon who used to struggle and Tatsuki, who wasn’t able to give us the Championship we were waiting for and that never arrived. A new Casadei bloomed and we were his witnesses. Then, after 8 years in which we supported him, we let him fly with another team.It was a year full of changes and reflections.
We signed new contracts, we ripped others and we renovated some. Among the most important renewals, that of my technical director, Marco Grana. We held new hands. This is the very first presentation without my dear friend Fausto Gresini.
Those who have remained is because they believe in us, in our brand and in our life philosophy. Those who have arrived is because they saw the potential, because they were able to get excited with us in front of tv. Because they know this job will become a passion impossible to be dismissed.
We can be a team, a name, a job, but mainly we can be weird, smart, ardent or testy, just like a “perfect” family.
These reasons led the Sic58 Squadra Corse to be here with you also this time.
Because reinventing and renewing is what makes us alive, because in order to envisage a magical and spectacular future scenario I can’t think of a more special place than this one:
