AUSTRIA GP VOL.2 23/08/2020

640km to drive back home from Spielberg with thousand of thoughts and questions, biting my tongue trying not to say inappropriate things speaking at the phone with journalists or friends about Sunday’s races, which I’ll better call “play stations races”.

I don’t know which adjective or word will be more exactly to define the three men, who decide the destiny of those pawns that are not considered as riders anymore, in their hands. Who has to win or lose. Who has to celebrate or who will cry. The rules about where and when you can cross the green zone (which is already wrong and it has to be modified for sure) is always adjusted at their pleasure in their hands, cancelling all the work done by all the teams and all the dreams of the riders, that every weekend fight to write their own name on the highest step of the podium, to remain forever in the MotoGP history.
Those people, conscious of their power, mask their incompetence with arrogance and superficiality, sometimes even taking inappropriate and absurd decisions, distorting the result of all the races, Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP. And when they provide useless excuses, we all would like to enter their office to say “a few things” or to punch on their table to enforce our thesis but here they are, the “antiCovid rules” that forbid us to do so… I won’t say “those rules saved them” as it will look like a threatening.
Here it is, finally the right word I was looking for, which seems made exactly for them: “The Untouchable”!

Those people, who are walking proudly, with their straight shoulders and the chest out where you can spot the FIM mark, until they won’t listen to us, until they won’t change the rules making them more clear and until they won’t have a more transparent behaviour, they will just hinder our work and even with all of the negative tampons they will remain “the infectors”, the ones who contaminated our amazing sport.
They’ll have on their hands the responsibility of compromising our “one and only” passion, the only sport, that in today’s fake world, was healthy and clean.
