Valencia GP 17/11/19

With 3 podium, 2 victories and a total of 14 zeros, we can still see Antonelli and Suzuki respectively in 7th and 8th position of the World Championship, bringing up the SIC58 Squadra Corse in second position of the team’s classification. That’s how we closed an exciting championship, made of successes and defeats, sweet and bitter, for sure rich of emotions, and were there are strong emotions there are big lessons, both in sport and life.

About the race, I’m really angry, I keep on saying these kids need more clear rules and more severe punishments, and for Tatsu this has been the nth mockery due to a wrong and too tolerant rule. A rider who mistakes on the corner going beyond the green zone, where years ago he would have found the gravel, and would have used more than twice the time to re-enter the track (assuming he was able not to crash), now can just enter the track as nothing happened and he’s still able to win. So, if gravel has been replace by asphalt for safety reasons, even if there has been fatal accident BECAUSE of this asphalt, and if this green zone shouldn’t be used for safety reasons, there is the need to prevent that riders use it to take a personal advantage.
A question came spontaneous to my mind and I would like to have an answer by Freddie Spencer, ex rider, and by the FIM commission: “What type of advantage has a rider doing the turn properly?”
This commission is unnecessarily paranoid about this, they should punish immediately who goes on the green at the first time and that’s it, end of games.

We close the season 2019 with a little bit of regret which will be the biggest push for our pride in the next season, conscious that the new rules will make justice for riders that close the turn in the proper way and that it will be a great year full of satisfactions.
