FRENCH GP 11/10/2020

This weekend smells exactly like Brno 2007, a disastrous weekend, disheartening, unhappy. Marco crashed during the warm up and Taro Sekiguchi hit his bike breaking it completely and also breaking himself some bones. Marco replicates this result also in the race. When it is Sunday afternoon, weekends like those make you say: “Go, go, go! Let’s go home!”

I could say a lot about this GP, but I already feel my heart getting nervous, so I’ll tell you just the three reasons why I want to remember it.
For the cuteness of Mattia Casadei. To tell the truth I would have killed him when on Saturday, while he was just about to conquer the first row in the superpole, he crashed and with it all our dreams to win the MotoE World Championship. But from the screen I could see him standing up, demoralized and with the heart broken, walking to his bike to give her the last caress before going back to the box.
For the wish of still believing in it of Tatsuki Suzuki, who crashed in the race after doing the fastest lap, he standed up angry and suffering, punching the air. I don’t know why, but this gesture makes me understand how much this kid believes in what he’s doing, that besides the twelve stitches in his arms, the plate and a bone that is slowly getting together, he is still there risking but never letting it go.
For the sportiness of Romano Fenati, who, after being hit by his teammate Alonso Lopez during the race, instead of getting hungry he just hugged him.

The sportive gestures at the end are the one which will be reminded in times and are the ones that make a rider a great rider. And about this French weekend, so difficult for my team as for my coronary, this is all.
