ARAGON GP 22/9/19

First time for Davide Pizzoli in the SIC58 garage, but not in the world championship as he already debuted there as a wild card before: he would have been our first choice for next year if one of our riders would have not confirmed to remain with us.
A difficult and unlucky debut in a track made difficult by weather conditions; half wet, half dry, so it was difficult for us to set up the bike in a proper way and to understand his needs. By the way he did a good job, improving step by step without crashing; during the race his pace was in 1’59’’ which is a good lap-time. If Nicco couldn’t make it to Thailand, he would be reconfirmed.

Suzuki started from P8, he made a brilliant race as main character, he raced with an aggressive style as I like, until four laps to go. Then he felt asleep during an overtake with Ogura which he should have closed easily changing so the dynamic of the last two lapses. The fact his parents where there, and he always made 0 points with them present, made the difference in his mind for sure. I can understand him, he wanted to stop this sequence of “unlucky events”. On the other side I also think that being a winner means not to defend yourself from the bad luck, but to be brave and arrogant, to believe that nothing can go against your “I’m a good rider”, to be conscious of your talent and to fight until the very end.
After the injustice made to Di Giannantonio in Misano, the rule that should penalize riders who cross the green has been changed, it’s now a little better. If this thing happens during the last lap, the rider will be immediately penalized. This is not enough and we’ll continue our battle to fight riders who go in the green below the track (even Greenpeace doesn’t fight this hard for the Earth as we are doing here). If you pay attention to the life-time report at the end of the race, you can see most of the riders got the “Track Limits Warning”, which means they’re riding more in the green, which technically is made just for safety, than in the track. I think just in the first two lapses this mistake should be accepted, and if we’ll ever got more SEVERE rules, I’m sure there will be less accidents because all the riders will pay more attention.

We prepared all the boxes for the long transfer. But before that, how could we miss another trip to Spain? Let’s go to Jerez for the CEV… It is usually a lucky circuit for the SIC58, let’s cross. our fingers!!
