NEW SEASON 2018

Hi guys. It’s good to be back!
We have been away for a while but, actually, we just had a few days of holiday in Livigno during New Year’s Eve.
Being involved in the World Championship and the World Junior Championship means that you don’t get much of spare time. Moreover with the arrangements of the Team Unveiling 2018, which is taking place on Tuesday the 20th of February and the aftermaths of a surgery I underwent… I am a bit under pressure, I have to admit it. Anyway, can I say that I am satisfied with all we have being doing? I am proud and fulfilled of my new team. I’ve tried to lear from the mistakes made last year.
We welcomed two new members to our team: Patricia, our new Spanish telemetrist and Inigo who is in charge of the tires. My main concern is to have a team made of professionals and make them feel at ease while doing their job.
Moreover Tatsuki and Niccolò are finding the right way to communicate. We discussed together about how I would like things to be handled and I think it is all working in the right direction. But I don’t want to say it too loud, because I know that luck cannot last forever.
After the last testing we are ready to go to Qatar and deal with its changeable weather. I am not going to comment the lap times made while testing in Valencia and Jerez because we know that during tests it is more important to work on the bike than looking for the fastest lap.
I won’t be at IRTA Test in Jerez as I am leaving for Australia to visit my kid, who is living and working there. She told me: “Dad, you should see how life is easy here: the harder you work the more you can earn and save!”
This is how it used to be in Italy 30 years ago. I am curious to see my daughter’s life in Australia… who knows, we could also open a ranch down there and move there. While I am thinking about it, see you in Qatar!
