SILVERSTONE GP 25/05/25

Welcome back, Luca!

He gave us an exciting race, just like the ones that made us dream in the second half of the last season. Lunetta gets fired up in the middle of the fight, that’s his comfort zone. It was great to see him back there, in the heart of the action.

In my opinion, we didn’t deserve the long lap penalty. He saw a space, went in with determination and he was half a bike ahead of Munoz, that means the overtake was definitely fair. No malice, just instinct and courage. I understand the impetuosity of these young riders needs to be controlled, but there was no intent in this case. Of course, judgments are always personal. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the common denominator of all these accidents is named Munoz.

That said, it went well anyway. His comeback was incredible and heart-stopping. Performances like this are not good for the heart, but they are good for this sport. He proved that on a track with few restarts Honda can be competitive and make its voice heard.  KTMs are still stronger in acceleration, but they are not unbeatable.

These guys are really talented. I want to congratulate all of them. They are all very young and fast. The level in Moto3 has risen a lot and especially the riders who have gained experience in the CEV have that little bit more.

Nepa is still going through a tough time. We are dealing with this even these days. In this sport, mindset is everything, one day you are fourth and the next you are looking for answers… But we are here, we don’t give up. I believe in that.

We’re ready for Aragon.
