In a world where team presentations are becoming increasingly unconventional, sparkling and creative – some go skiing, some rent a disco… to do better than that, we could only fly to the Maldives –this year, we also decided to be different. Thus…the team launch will not take place.
Or better: it will take place, but not now. In July, in an exclusive location, namely Coriano, at my home.
The reasons are many and multiple. The World Championship finished very late, to name one, then I made some choices, some of them arguable…which in the end did not turn out as I had imagined.
Among these things I’ve also added a knee surgery (10 KO days, no holidays)…in short, I don’t have the calm and serenity required to plan a presentation worthy of the team I represent. Where I’m usually the main presenter – an excellent presenter, let me remind you.
Usually, it is a very important moment, long awaited and full of expectations, a unique opportunity to be together without the pressure, hurry and chaos of a race weekend. For this reason, I regret this decision. But don’t worry: it is only postponed.
And then, imagine how much better it will be, instead of this Antarctic weather, the 4 degrees and the nose stalactites, to meet everyone in short sleeves, drinking a cold beer by the pool side…IF THIS IS NOT AN UNCONVENTIONAL TEAM LAUNCH!
The World Championship is just around the corner.
I’ll be back soon with the first of (hopefully) many “Paolo’s Blog” releases. Besides, not writing them is synonymous with “I’m damn angry”, so I hope to write plenty of them.
