Moto3 at Corona Virus age. It sounds good as a title! This year will be remembered in history for sure. This race will remain in history, no matter the winner, the losers, the ten riders who battled for more than ten laps with amazing overtakes and braking. This is the first year that just the “minors” categories, Moto3 and Moto2, are competing and not MotoGP class. This happened because the entrance in Qatar was not allowed to Italians after the 1st of March, and so to the biggest part of MotoGP. All the ones of the “last call for the flight Milano-Doha”, we had to watch the show directly from the sofa.
\nEverything will be alright, we just need to pay attention to rules and stay at home. I mean, we are able to go to Mars, we will be able to find a vaccine for this virus too, right?! I heard that, in Milan, there are no more lungs ventilators free so doctors will give them just to people under 60.. at 60 years old you are not too old, I don’t think in 2020 there should be the need for doctors to chose between patients. It means that maybe, the economical cuts politicians have done to the healthcare system were mismanaged… but about this it has been said enough on the TV.<\/p>\n
For the first time I watch the race from home, it was so strange but I had the same feelings with a knot in my stomach, I felt so sorry I couldn’t be there next to my riders in such a delicate moment as the pre-race is.
\nIt has been an almost perfect weekend, but at the same time unexpectedly difficult for few reasons: as first, Niccol\u00f2 had to go back home after tests to go under surgery because of his shoulder; he has been replaced by Jos\u00e8 Garcia, one of our riders in the CEV, who had to race in a track he had never seen before; in addition, Tatsuki found some difficulties to enter in Q2, which we thought would have been easy for us. Both Tatsuki and the team pretended to be calm and starting from Q1 they made an amazing Pole Position, which left all the antagonists surprised, as they thought we were done.
\nI called him before the race and he sounded quiet, I just reminded him: “You are able to ride (not when you see a STOP in Riccione), don’t be afraid to lose!”
\nSo he did a great race, as a professional rider, he made just two mistakes, which have been decisive for the final result: the first one is that he attacked one lap in advance, the second one that he was inside the third corner during the last lap. He closed the race in 5th position.
\nFinally, riders who go on the green zone in the last lap have been penalized, but my battle goes on because I think this rule demonstrates that who cuts the track on the green zone takes advantage from that, so why penalize it just on the last lap? A rider can take advantage from that every single lap.
\nGarcia has been good, in a new track, difficult because very large, he showed his teeth and fight hard in the back scenes. This is all experience for him. I think he’ll make us enjoy CEV and who knows, maybe also as a wild card!
\nI saw a competitive Tatsuki, a fighter, master of his bike and of the situation, he will give us great satisfactions… if they will let us race again.<\/p>\n
We will wait, confident that hottest temperatures will help us fighting this virus bringing us back to normality. Let’s take advantage of this moment when life is less frenetic to stop and think about how fragile a human life could be. Let’s stop for a while, is it the world where we want to live?
\nAnd when the perfume of summer will replace the one of Amuchina, maybe we will all have learned something from that.<\/p>\n
